Is your website accessible by disabled visitors?
An amendment to the Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973 was signed into law by President Clinton in 1998. It is called Section 508 and requires that electronic and information technology that is developed or purchased by the Federal Government is accessible by people with disabilities. While is it not mandatory at this point that all websites be accessible to disabled visitors, it is important for healthcare organizations to consider implementing these standards on their website.
Badger Healthcare Marketing staff have been researching and utilizing the standards of Section 508 since before it was signed into law. It is our goal to take down the barriers that are preventing the world wide web from being accessible by everyone.
